Setting a trigger area and a swap area

The first part of creating a disjoint rollover is drawing a hotspot or slice object over the area of your document that will trigger the rollover, and a slice object over the swap area—the area that will change appearance when the rollover is triggered.

To draw a trigger area:

Draw a hotspot object, slice object, or button symbol:

Draw a hotspot object if the trigger area is not a rollover, or does not change appearance itself.
Draw a slice object if you intend for the trigger area to change appearance.
Place a button symbol if you intend to use it as the trigger. You can attach additional behaviors to button symbols the same way you attach them to slice and hotspot objects.

To draw a swap area:

Draw a slice object over the part of your document you want to swap out.
